Title holders Melbourne Victory have regained top spot following a narrow 1-0 win as Kiwi-born Archie Thompson scored the only goal of the game against Brisbane Roar early into their 15th round clash.

In the late game, Central Coast Mariners were ahead 4-1 over North Queensland Fury, with an hour gone, whilst overnight Gold Coast United and Adelaide United shared the points in a 1-1 draw at Hindmarsh Stadium, although the visitors lost Kristian Rees following a red card midway through the first half.
